Guest Lounge
In 2019 we have redesigned our guest lounge on the second floor together with a local carpenter's workshop to increase the coziness and to provide a pleasant stay for our guests.
When our restaurant closes in the evening, our house guests get the option to have a comfortable nightcap or even a bottle of wine on the second floor. Our service staff will accompany you once to the premises, where a small selection of books and a modern LED TV are already waiting. Dim lighting and warm regionally processed woods as well as comfortable seating provide for a homey atmosphere... here you can let a Black Forest evening end convivially into the wee hours of the morning, according to your mood.
For all smokers the way to the night entrance is not far.
Good to know
For how long has the Rindenmühle existed as a hotel?
The conversion of the farmstead into a hotel and restaurant began in 1989. Since then, it has been and is constantly being renovated and modernised periodically. The reception with adjoining lobby has existed since 2009, the wellness building on our fruit meadow was opened in 2018 and has been available to relax in ever since. In 2019 and 2020 some rooms were successively modernized and adapted to the new modern style of the Rindenmühle.
Does the Rindenmühle also use environmentally friendly energies?
Owner Martin Weißer runs the property with a unique level of environmental friendliness. The electricity is generated from hydropower and photovoltaics; the energy for heating is obtained from pellets from local forests and solar energy. In addition, there are three combined cogeneration units for heat recovery. Food is preferably purchased from regional producers, which means short transport routes and less packaging. This reduces the amount of waste to a minimum.
In which areas does the house offer its guests additional well-being from a health point of view?
Since the opening of our wellness centre, the entire hotel has been equipped with Grander Technology. Here our guests come into contact with the “revitalised water” when showering, washing and drinking. Our kitchen team also uses it in the preparation of meals.
